by Skip

MANCHSTER, NH – The House Republican Alliance, a caucus of Republican lawmakers, assembled to elect leadership for 2012-22 term of the General Court on Sunday, November 29.

Representative Mike Sylvia of Belmont will continue his role in leadership into his second term in the role and his fifth term in the House. He will be joined two new tri-chairs, Rep. Deb Hobson of East Kingston, and Rep. Bob Greene of Hudson.

“I’m very excited to be joined by these two very dedicated representatives,” said Representative Mike Sylvia (R-Belmont) “With a Republican majority in the House, it is important to keep our promise to hold true to our party platform and our NH and US Constitutions.”

The House Republican Alliance was established in 1997 and is the longest-running caucus in the NH House of Representatives. It’s goal is to pass legislation consistent with the US and NH Constitutions, and that represents the core values of the state Republican platform and fiscal responsibility.

Note: Both the HRA and NHLA (NH Liberty Alliance which also makes recommendations on bills and has its own Representative/Senate scoring system based on Liberty). GraniteGrok uses both to see who has been “naughty or nice” (given that we are now in the Christmas system). It’s just our way to help keep our elected representatives accountable as well as pointing out especially grievous votes, legislation, and actions.

It’s what we do.  Thanks to what they do.
