That would Dr. Deborah Birx who has been on President Trump’s WuFlu team. You know, statistics, masks, and “STAY AWAY FROM EVERYONE!!!” missives. Showing up on TV all the time, acting like an old style school marm lecturing us all that we must all give up our lives to save our lives. Sure, and to give up our lives is to lose our lives – that’s the part she and Fauci and all of the Covid Control Freaks won’t ever say. At least out loud. Emphasis on the Control part as GraniteGrok has been writing about for nigh onto a year now.
Lately, however, we’ve seen these Control Freaks drop their masks. You see, they get great satisfaction in telling US what to do – and then laughingly go about what used to be normal for all Americans – visiting friends, eating out, movies, and gathering with family for special occasions (or not even special – just for the heck of it). Normal. Everyday stuff. But we’ve been ordered to Cease and Desist. All that Liberty stuff?
Yeah, irrelevant. ANd now Dr. Deborah Birx is now the next in what is becoming a long line of Government Hypocrites showing what frauds they are. And if those telling us what to do think this is a fraud, well, what do you think it really is…reformatted, emphasis mine:
Birx After Breaking Own COVID Guidance: My Parents Were Depressed And Isolated
White House Coronavirus Task coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx admitted Sunday that she broke her own COVID-related travel guidance on Thanksgiving, gathering with three generations of family from two households. She was not “celebrating,” however, Birx assured the public in a statement, but “winterizing” one of her homes. Birx elaborated Tuesday during an interview with Newsy on the toll pandemic precautions, like the ones she doles out to Americans, have affected her family. The task force leader said her parents had become depressed and “stopped eating” over the isolation — isolation Birx has recommended time and time again.
Like that makes it ALL better…as if no one else in America has parent or other family members aren’t experiencing similar things? Yet you say to cast them off to protect everyone else? But not you and your’s because you’re “special circumstances”? Or that you felt your position “covered” for you? The age old “Do you know who I am and that laws are for the little people”?
“My parents stopped eating and drinking because they were so depressed,” the 64-year-old said during the interview. “My daughter hasn’t left that house in 10 months, my parents have been isolated for 10 months. They’ve become deeply depressed,” Birx added, noting of the need to “recover from the trauma of the last 10 months.” Many online and news outlets like The New York Post tied Birx comments to her Thanksgiving rule-breaking, since Birx’s parents were present at her vacation home.
“Birx said she took her Thanksgiving jaunt to Delaware because her parents were so down in the dumps, they ‘stopped eating and drinking’ — a justification ripped by people who said it was her coronavirus restrictions that prevented them from seeing their own dying loved ones,” the Post reported, highlighting online backlash directed at Birx:
“My dad died of Covid surrounded by people in hazmat suits. He didn’t understand,” writer Mark Aldrich replied to Newsy’s interview.
“My mom couldn’t visit him. She is depressed. Birx’ parents felt depressed? I’m sorry. She still has a one parent surplus over my sister & me,” he wrote.
Peg Manley tweeted: “My mother died in March, we still haven’t buried her.”
Oh yeah, her own self-admitted penance for her action:
During the Newsy interview, Birx said that she will retire after she’s helped the Biden transition team. “I’ve worked since 1980 in the federal government, first through the military, then through HHS and then detailed to the State Department and detailed here,” she said. “I will be helpful in any role that people think I can be helpful in, and then I will retire. … I only came into the White House to ensure that our COVID response could utilize whatever information I had from confronting epidemics around the globe,” Birx added.
And that makes it ALL better now, right?
Wrong. There’s a reason why Americans are losing faith in our traditional institutions – and this is a perfect example of it. I can’t tell you when it EXACTLY started, no specific instant, but it started. If I were to take a guess, it was when Woodrow Wilson became President who was the most virulently anti-Constitution President ever.
So I blame all of the voters that voted for him. Socialist and anarchists too! After all, Antifa is merely the latest reincarnation of all of those that came before.
People used to believe in the institution in which they served – and it showed to everyone else. But the rot was already happening, bit by bit. Oh, it was always there – it just became more and more obvious over the decades. And as it became more obvious, the rest of us started to be able to clearly see through the cracks – and now, with Birx, it is clearly out in the open on national TV.
Yes, she’s just one person – but a rather large one. And we can easily see, in each and every one of our institutions failing us because they have turned to serving themselves. With lip service for those they are supposed to serve.
Consent – why would we give our consent to those that disdain to uphold the values they want us to mirror?
It’s like respect and Trust – both must be earned but can be lost in a heartbeat.
I’m just glad that I had family over yesterday to share Christmas Cheer with. And that they were willing to come from Maine to do so.
