Trump Wins North Carolina: Projection

President Donald Trump won the state of North Carolina in the 2020 election, according to a new projection. Decision Desk on Tuesday projected that Trump has won the state and its 15 electoral votes…

According to the current unofficial count, Trump has received 2.73 million votes, compared to Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s 2.65 million votes.

And for the US Senate Race, no big surprise

The organization also projected Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) has beaten Democrat challenger Cal Cunningham, which would give Republicans 49 seats in the 100-member body with three races left uncalled or in runoffs.

That puts Biden at 259 and Trump at 229 if it holds up. With Alaska going big for Trump (62% to 33%) and Dan Sullivan crushing his Democrat rival 62% to 32%, that would bring Trump to 232 and Republicans to 50 seats in the US Senate – they’d only have to win 1 of the 2 runoff US Senate seats in Georgia on Jan 5.
