Here’s something I forgot to mention in my earlier post about serving on the jury. A liberal lady who kept hectoring everyone who didn’t hold her view that the defendant was innocent, said,
“There was more evidence for convicting Brett Kavanaugh than this guy”
And she was looking right at me at the time. Yes, she outed herself as to where she was on the political spectrum.
For a split second, I thought of going full beast mode on her along with “and not a SINGLE word of it was corroborated,” where here, she was blowing off two witnesses in order to make that claim. Intellectually dishonest, for sure. Instead, as evenly as I could, said “Stop it. This is not the proper place for that.”
I only got a glare in return but it wasn’t brought up again. I had let slip that my name was Skip instead of “Juror #7” (like I really cared?) – I do wonder given what I had been saying and my name if she put two and two together.
She did like the cookies I brought in on Wednesday though…
