I did have to chuckle a bit with that old saw “Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time”. And given the stories that came out concerning his utter lack for other people, especially the women who live and work in the Hollywood / movie industry, it would be just desserts (reformatted, emphasis mine):
Harvey Weinstein will likely die in prison if not freed, lawyers claim
Harvey Weinstein is broke and will likely die if he remains in prison, his lawyer said Friday at a hearing over whether the former powerhouse producer should be freed on bail pending an appeal of his Manhattan rape conviction. “[Weinstein’s] physical and mental condition has so deteriorated, I do not think it’s an overstatement to say that if he is not released as part of this application, his chances of surviving in prison are rather low,” one of his lawyers, Barry Kamins, told Judge Angela Mazzarelli during a virtual hearing in the Appellate Division First Department.
“The defendant is almost blind, and he’s not ambulatory, and he’s on 20 medications,” said Kamins, adding that Weinstein is wheelchair-bound. Kamins rattled off his client’s medical conditions — including diabetic retinopathy, coronary artery disease and spinal stenosis, or pressure on his back nerves, which causes a dragging foot.
My, my, just before this all went #MeToo, he seemed to be the paragon of health. The stories that came out didn’t talk about any of this. I do remember that at the beginning of the trial stuff, all of a sudden he was ill, he was in a wheelchair…the entire gamet.
Is he really thinking that playing the Democrat Victim Card (along with his offer to go after the NRA as penance (funny how many on the Left that have been outed for some Political Incorrectness dailiance and have used that NRA Lifeline – and a desperate stab at changing the subject).
I’m just waiting to hear that his cellmate’s name is Bubba…
