Portland is the Democrat vision for America. What we are seeing is; Portland has a problem with riots in the city. The Mayor, Ted Wheeler, has a problem with the riots in the Rose City. The riots have been going on for four months with no end in sight. The rioters have even attacked Walker in his home.

The Mayor acknowledges there is an issue here. It’s just he’s not going to do anything about it. How is that public service? It may be Democrat leadership. It may be irresponsibly. But turning your city over to mob rule is not public service. It is also not a vision for a place of which most of us want any part.
The building in which Wheeler has a condo was a target of rioters earlier this week. The Mayor made a big deal of refusing federal help from Donald Trump. Okay he does not like Trump or his policies. So, freaking what? Your city is literally on fire. Your own home has been attacked and your streets are in chaos.
If the mayor wants to live like that, that is one thing. But why are the people of the city being forced to accept this behavior. The Mayor’s open letter to the President is trash. It is political grandstanding at the most crass level. He tells the President to stick it for even bothering to offer help. Most junior high schoolers are more mature than Mayor Walker.
The Democrat Mayor wants everyone to also know that rioters are in his city. They are “terrorizing families with children.” He, the Mayor, would kindly like them to stop. Mr. Mayor, respectfully, after four months, Portland is past the point of asking nicely and gaining compliance.
Oh, please stop
People who riot, burn property, attack and kill people are past paying attention to “Oh please stop.” There are no rules in a riot except force. Mr. Mayor you are failing to recognize the right answer when told. That’s the definition of what? Portland Is the Democrat Vision for America.
When the rioters attacked his own residence the Mayor clucked his tongue. Mayor Wheeler made it clear; this sort of behavior is unacceptable. Bad rioter. Stop. No, no, no. Bad rioter. The riots have not stopped and they will not stop until force is brought to bear to stop them.
The Mayor wrote In a Facebook post, “last night saw more senseless violence in Portland. Another minority-owned, local business was destroyed by a violent group of individuals. A police officer was filmed repeatedly striking an individual at a protest. Even the building where I live, along with dozens of other families, was violently attacked.”
“Organizations in the community who encouraged or condoned these actions are complicit. Elected leaders — or those seeking office — who remain silent in the midst of these acts of violence and criminal destruction are equally complicit…”
“The community must rise up and say ‘enough is enough’ and hold all of us accountable. We cannot truly move on together and make the positive changes we want to see until this violence is stopped. All violence.”
There is indeed a way that could happen. Unfortunately for Portland Wheeler has already closed it off. Wheeler is the mayor of the city. Under Portland’s commission form of government he’s also the commissioner of the police department. If we could only find a responsible person willing and able to help.
Can you return to normalcy Mr. Mayor?
The mayor knows his city is out of control. The tools are at his disposal to change the situation. He needs to use them. Failure to do so means he is tacitly condoning, he’s tolerating the rioters’ actions.
If things are too out of control. If they are beyond the city’s ability to maintain order. Then the Mayor needs to ask for help. He needs to fly to D.C. with hat in hand and grovel for help. It is time to man up and admit you made a mistake Mr. Mayor.
That is his responsibility to the occupants of the city. If the only potential place to turn is the federal government, so be it. He owes it to the people of Portland and its business community to make that happen.
Aren’t you glad you don’t have Democrat leadership where you live? If you want months of rioting. Vote Democrat. If you want to destroy small business in your community vote Democrat. If you want big business to pull out of your community for decades vote Democrat. Portland Is the Democrat Vision for America.
Civil society requires laws that are enforced in and even handed manner. When law and order breaks down society becomes mob rule. That is what is happening in Portland. You are watching the Democrat vision for America. Vote Democrat; your leadership will be BLM, Antifa, Anarchists and Islamists. Which side are you on?
