Data Point – and where does all that Federal money go?

Yesterday I posted up, in another Data Point, the absolutely horrendous amount of money that the Federal Government has been spending and what levels (or is that depths) that the National Debt as gone to – enslaving our children, their children, and their childrens’ children into indentured servitude to the US Government.

It has been common to hear the Illiberals rant and rave about all of the money we spend on our military and nothing on “social services” – those monies sucked in by the Federal Government from some simply to give to others (like the image above used to be quite popular a few years ago). The ascending Socialists are back on it again, wanting to cut down the military budgets to expand social services and at the local level, cut down the police (proxy for the military) for the same social services.

Sidenote: you ever think they ever think about duplication or triplication of services? Or are they rubbing their hands in glee that they have more of “their folks” on the government dime that formerly was your quarter?

Anyways, I didn’t put up the third image that was in that CNSNews post that speaks to where the money comes from and where it goes:

Fed outlays through 2020

To where it goes, I did bulletized the above but felt it worthwhile to point it out again. If you add up all of the “money transfers to others” (e.g., Income Security, Social Security, Medicare, and Health) that adds up to $3.588 Trillion.

National Defense is $660 Billion (at least that which is “on the books”); throw in another $100 Billion only because I don’t have a better guess and I bet the Congressional “Appropriators” don’t either. I point out that it is only FIFTH on the largest expenditures for a percentage of only 21.2% of the “wealth transfer” categories.

Relative to the others, I do think that’s a lot closer to the “bake sale” that the Illiberals desire, don’t you?
