A Personal Endorsement : NH State Senator Bob Guida

All writers at GraniteGrok have the authority to endorse a given candidate and I have done so previously (Glen Aldrich, Harry Bean, and Norm Silber for NH House). This time, I am endorsing Bob Guida in tomorrow’s Republican Primary in NH State Senate District 2. I can’t vote for him but I urge voters in NH State Senate District 2 (see below) to consider him for re-election now and in the November general election. He’s done a good job, overall, with just one exception on his support for HB183. While I disagree with him on Free Market principles on this issue, I have to admit that he was putting his constituents first (and yes, I was a tad worked up over this). But then again, I’m NOT a constituent, so there.

IMHO, his opponent, Dave DeVoy, has been rather disappointing to me as a Belknap County Commissioner. He appeared, early one, to be far more Libertarian, even hosting an event for Rand Paul at one point. While Libertarians can be all over the place, they generally are spot on in dealing with Government – smaller is better. I just wished he’d have remembered that as he battled the NH House Belknap County delegation on budgets and other matters through his tenure. I may not have attended any of the meetings of late (there are just so many hours in a month and most of them are, sometimes to the chagrin of TMEW, wrapped up here). Nonetheless, I hear things and people call me – “keeping in the loop” is not just a physical presence.

He has also been endorsed by the RLCNH (Republican Liberty Caucus of NH) and Cornerstone.

So please, vote for Bob Guida when you head to the polls tomorrow.

As an evangelical Christian and Conservative with small "L" libertarian leanings, my fight is with Progressives forcing a collectivized, secular humanistic future upon us.
