Seriously? Russia-Collusion-Truther Chris Ryan moderating a GOP debate?
Collusion-Chris’ goal as a debate moderator is to produce soundbites that Jeanne Shaheen can use in the general election.
Hate to say it, but … It appears that, at this point, neither the Bolduc nor the Messner campaigns … NOT THE CANDIDATES, BUT THE CAMPAIGNS … are anywhere near as much about beating Jeanne Shaheen as they are about beating each other. Even it that results in a Shaheen cakewalk.
If your goal is to beat Jeanne Shaheen, you do NOT … I repeat: do NOT … allow one of her biggest cheerleaders in the local press to host your debate. If your goal is to beat Jeanne Shaheen, you focus your campaign on Shaheen, not on utterly destroying your primary opponent to the point he is unelectable in a general election.
Look I understand that those working on the campaign that wins the primary gets to continue getting paid during the general … while the losing campaign staff need to find new sources of income … but that is not much comfort for those of us who do NOT want Shaheen as one of New Hampshire’s Senators, and have grown increasingly frustrated watching these two campaigns do Shaheen’s dirty work for her.
