The Co-Founder of the Moonlight Meadery in Londonderry – join the Email Train Part 3; two factoids

by Skip

So, it seems that Berniece Van Der Berg, co-founder of Moonlight Meadery, has had run-ins with other Republicans – and one of her targets (she seems to be in the camp of the eternally offended/chip on shoulder by the way she writes) sent this in:

Type in Moonlight Meadery where it says business. Source: https://www.goferr.nh.gov/main-street-relief-fund-funds-transparency-map

GOFERR Funding to Moonlight Meadery

So I did: Berniece Van Der Berg received $58,102:

Moonlight Meadery GOFERR funding

Well, as I wait for my apology for being called a racist (e.g., “a racist Republican party”):

Moonlight Meadery 1

…as I re-enrolled in the Republican Party a little while ago; I also voted for Trump while I wasn’t and NOW will do so again. Just thought I’d remind all you Republican and Republican-leaning folks out there that are thirsty – go elsewhere because YOU are EVIL: “to promote a force for good not evil”. Typical Progressive dribble. It further strengthens that Progressives good, everyone else evil. Go figure.

But remember her email had this

If you persist in your hateful rhetoric and criminal threatening, I shall have no recourse but to follow legal action. Consider yourselves duly notified.

Well, Freedom of Speech doesn’t much care about the “hateful rhetoric.” Again, I’m hoping that her lawyer gave her a really good schooling on what Freedom of Speech really means (and it DOESN’T mean), contra what Progressives, Socialists, and Antifa believe. That anything you disagree with is “hateful”. It’s just another opinion. Now, that said, a lot of what she “disappeared” on her Facebook page WAS rather hateful – certainly a lot of words that would have had my mouth washed out with soap when I was younger if I had used them then – towards those like us.

Hey, it’s her Right to say such but she’s calling the kettle black (oh, is that racist to use that phrase anymore?). But that’s not my point.

While “hateful rhetoric” isn’t legally actionable, there IS a standard for “criminal threatening” and one of the Grokster Lawyers sent me the underlying RSA – I’m hoping that y’all will see that it is rather doubtful that our writing would fall into that:

I guess it would be too much to hope for that this moron would have actually looked at the New Hampshire law on “criminal threatening,” as follows, before threatening to charge someone with doing it:

RSA  631:4 “Criminal Threatening. –
I. A person is guilty of criminal threatening when:
(a) By physical conduct, the person purposely places or attempts to place another in fear of imminent bodily injury or physical contact; or
(b) The person places any object or graffiti on the property of another with a purpose to coerce or terrorize any person; or
(c) The person threatens to commit any crime against the property of another with a purpose to coerce or terrorize any person; or
(d) The person threatens to commit any crime against the person of another with a purpose to terrorize any person; or
(e) The person threatens to commit any crime of violence, or threatens the delivery or use of a biological or chemical substance, with a purpose to cause evacuation of a building, place of assembly, facility of public transportation or otherwise to cause serious public inconvenience, or in reckless disregard of causing such fear, terror or inconvenience; or
(f) The person delivers, threatens to deliver, or causes the delivery of any substance the actor knows could be perceived as a biological or chemical substance, to another person with the purpose of causing fear or terror, or in reckless disregard of causing such fear or terror.”

Noticeably absent is any mention of publication (or uttering) of any speech as constituting criminal threatening. Maybe she has been drinking too much of her mead before sending out idiotic emails.

Nopers. We have written about her – and taking a literal reading of the above, she was just blowing smoke out her butt. Again, we don’t even have to THINK about putting words into her mouth – she has done so all by her lonesome. In doing, she confirms her misguided Progressive outlook that words = violence; sorry, not true.

But there is more coming…again, her words.

Keep talking Berniece.

Note: I still have yet to receive my snail mail from her Lawyer about that “Cease and Desist” schtick. When I do, I’ll post it because just like Berniece Van Der Berg doesn’t “have ANY authority to tell us what we can or cannot write at all. Even about Moonlight Meadery.“, her Lawyer doesn’t have ANY authority to tell me I can’t either.
