Discrimination Is A Democrat Thing

Discrimination is a Democrat thing.  Don’t believe it? Joe Biden says his team is putting together a list of potential SCOTUS nominees. He is pledging his pick will be a Black woman. The Democratic presidential candidate told reporters in Wilmington, Delaware:

“…We are putting together a list of African American women who are qualified and have the experience to be on the court. I am not going to release that until we go further down the line in vetting them as well…”

The question should be: Why are we making selections based on Race?  Isn’t that a problem? When did it become okay to makes such selections based on gender? Either or both criteria seem to indicate race and or gender bias. That used to be a problem. Or is it only a problem sometimes… like when the person making the decision isn’t in agreement with our own selection bias?

Biden versus Trump on discrimination

Contrast the Democrat selection plan with that of President Trump. Earlier this month he made a statement he will release a new list of Supreme Court nominees. Presumably he would choose based on decisions being rendered now. Their actual work product would be the decision criterion.

Certainly SCOTUS selections are important. But perhaps, just maybe, the basis for the decider’s decision making is more important in this case than who they actually choose. Biden says that “one thing I hesitate to do is follow anything this President does because he does it all wrong.” From this, one is left to infer, Mr. Biden is a racist and a gender discriminator. Is a president who discriminates really what we want?

During the last election candidate Trump released his own list of potential SCOTUS picks in May. It was a move to mollify skeptical conservatives. The decision some credit with galvanizing the Republican base. Trump touts his successful appointment of two conservatives to the Supreme Court.

Trump cites selection of Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh as reason to reelect the president. He also expects it to elect Republicans to the Senate as well. While Republicans routinely run on promises to appoint conservative justices.  They focus on the Supreme Court and federal bench. The issue draws less focus from Democrats. They are content with using the politics of personal destruction against Republican nominees.

Does the law matter to you the voter?

The question is: How do you approach matters of race and gender? What would happen at your business if you hired based on race and gender? Is it okay to select based on these criterion? The government takes enforcement action against those who discriminate based on race and gender. It is the law.

Why is it reasonable to vote for a Democrat who is continuing the Party’s history of immoral, unprincipled, race and gender discrimination? Discrimination is a Democrat thing. Didn’t MLK say what matters is the content of a person’s character not the color of their skin? Joe Biden thinks MLK got it wrong. Do you? Which side are you on?
