Trump’s “Super” Tuesday – 20 for 20 in Congressional Candidate Endorsements (And Where’s Bill Weld?)

Almost all the chatter on Super Tuesday was direct toward the Democrat primary but that wasn’t the only game in town. There were Republican primaries too. Some of them for Congress. And your President went 20 for 20 on endorsements.

“Kevin McCarthy informed me that I was 20 for 20 on Tuesday with respect to my Endorsement of candidates,” he wrote. “Sadly, I didn’t get that information from the Fake News Media.”

“The numbers don’t lie, when President Trump weighs in he gets results,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy told Breitbart News.

Trump Train

This has to be bugging the hell out of those Lincoln Project Never-Trumpers. “Republicans” who would rather have Comrade Bernie or Brainless Joe Biden; appointing judges, returning the US to energy dependence, tanking the economy, and bowing to our enemies.

What the hell happened to Bill Weld, by the way? He’s got one delegate compared to Trump’s 929, according to Wikipedia, if that’s even accurate

Weld’s best performance was not New Hampshire where he scored 9% of the vote. It was Vermont, where Gov. Rick Scot endorsed Weld where he managed to lose 90%-10%.

Weld got 3% of the Vote in Liberal California and Colorado and 9% in Massachusetts where he was once Governor. Nowhere else has he been able to brake 2%. But he’s not giving up. He is clinging to a quote by Steve Bannon. If Trump loses 4% of Republicans he can’t win. I’m not sure I agree.

Trump’s victory in 2016 was at the hands of independents and longtime non-voters who showed up to support him. And Mr. Trump has clearly moved an exceptionally high (for a Republican) number of Democrats, and minorities into his column.

Given his success last Tuesday, as long as voters who support him show up and vote, the Never-Trumper dream of America as a socialist country will have to wait another four years.

Let’s make sure that happens.
