The Democrat party and the media are their own worst enemy. And President Trump knows this. He can set the days media narrative with a tweet. Turn their ramblings into a political ad almost overnight. And now their virus fearmongering has made him more popular than ever.

By demanding everyone stay home to collapse the economy the Media have created a captive audience for the President’s response. And, as usual, it is not working out the way they imagined. The President’s daily updates are doing phenomenally well.
Mr. Trump and his coronavirus updates have attracted an average audience of 8.5 million on cable news, roughly the viewership of the season finale of “The Bachelor.”
And the numbers are continuing to rise, driven by intense concern about the virus and the housebound status of millions of Americans who are practicing social distancing. On Monday, nearly 12.2 million people watched Mr. Trump’s briefing on CNN, Fox News and MSNBC, according to Nielsen — “Monday Night Football” numbers.
Millions more are watching on ABC, CBS, NBC and online streaming sites. (Because of the way Nielsen ratings are measured, reliable numbers are available only for cable news.) And the audience is expanding….
The popularity of the briefing, if that’s even the right word, is translating into higher approval ratings for the President. An ‘infection” of the sort the media wants desperately to rid itself. It is what prompted some networks to suggest they could no longer commit airtime to them, even though the briefings are getting better ratings than anything else they might broadcast in their place.
They Brought This Upon Themselves
The media ignored the virus and Trump’s early response. They then over-hyped it and lied about Trump’s response to destroy him. The result has been more or less the same as every other such effort. By demanding a hyper-focus on some threat and presenting it as another “I have you now” Trump-ending moment, they’ve created a space for Trump to be Trump.
He is not just a natural leader. He thinks outside the beltway box. By demanding the nation drop everything, including work and social activity, the media has crammed America into a space where they can observe Donald Trump’s leadership in practice.
Liberal propagandist Andrea Mitchell summed up this way.
“There is politics involved. We’ve heard very little from, for instance, the more likely, most likely nominee of the Democratic Party, Joe Biden. He’s having difficulty getting — projecting through this crisis as the campaign goes totally on hold.” …
“We’re also seeing some polls indicating the President’s approval ratings among Democrats and independents skyrocketing to their highest levels yet. Some 60% approval ratings for the way he’s handling this crisis as he continues to hold these briefings. The briefings are working for the President.”
In frustration, she added: “No matter what he says, people seem to be seeing him as a leader, at least more people do.”
Putting Biden in front of America more often is a bad idea for Biden and Democrats but that’s not the only bed the Left has made for itself.
They crafted their image of Donald Trump, force-fed it to the nation, and then proceeded to operate as if everyone agrees with their projection.
The result is a catalog of daily hyperbolic political-snuff “films” (passed off as journalism) that demonstrate how out of touch the ruling class elites and the political Left are with ordinary everyday Americans.
And it’s not just the media. Democrat Congressional leadership actually thought it was a good idea politically to hijack a bipartisan bailout bill. And to do it at the last minute, so they could stuff a laundry list of entirely unrelated left-wing wish list priorities into the legislation. When almost everyone is paying attention because THEY made it a priority by fearmongering the crap out of the pandemic.
They’ve lost their minds, but by all means, please continue. The natural conclusion to this course of action is lost elections by Democrats, and nothing would make me happier or America stronger.
