Is Mayor Pete in a primary tailspin? After robbing Bernie of Iowa he appeared poised to take the role of Vanilla Obama (previously held by pasty white Robert Francis O’ Rourke – remember him?). But Pete was first loser in NH and second loser in Nevada where he barely qualified.
He’s polling 5th in South Carolina in multiple polls (behind Tome Steyer!) fourth in Wisconsin, Colorado, California, and Virginia. And fifth in Florida and Washington. In other words, he’s not com-Pete-ing. And now he’s canceling events.
Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg has cancelled four events in south Florida set for Wednesday because of illness.
Buttigieg campaign spokesman Chris Meagher says the former mayor is sick with a cold.

Note: Klobuchar is gone by March 4th as well if she makes it that far. She’s polling worse than Pete and Warren is not long for this race either.
