CNN Settles with Nick Sandmann in Defamation Lawsuit

This might make you smile. “CNN agreed Tuesday to settle a lawsuit with Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann.”

The amount of the settlement was not made public during a hearing at the federal courthouse in Covington, Kentucky.

We may not learn what sum was offered and accepted, but we have confirmation that a settlement was reached.

If I had to guess, CNN would write a big check, but smaller than the hundreds of millions sought, in exchange for not having to admit it lied and defrauded the public at the expense of a teenage boy who was minding his own business.

We will update the story if and when we learn more.
