Of course he did – which is why Feltes should never be allowed access to the Governor’s office.

Well ain’t this just dandy. First thought by NH Senator Dan Feltes (who is also running to be the next NH Governor + NH Rep Garrett Muscatel) is to run to Government and grab its magical Thor hammer (Thor’s was named Mjöllnir – Feltes’ is called Socialism’s Revenge) and start smacking around private enterprise:

NH Voices: Rep. Garrett Muscatel and Sen. Dan Feltes — It’s time to fight the high cost of insulin

NO ONE SHOULD be forced to choose between their health and financial security; that’s not good for our families, our communities, or the overall cost of health care. That’s why we filed legislation to prohibit insurance companies from charging patients more than $100 for a 30-day supply of insulin. In addition, our bill would waive the deductible for insulin products that meet this pricing requirement.

While the cost of insulin production has not changed in the past decade, the cost of insulin itself has continued to rise at alarming rates. In 1923, the patent for insulin was sold for $1; yet today, the most popular forms of insulin can cost over $400 per vial.

If he was a believer in the Founders vision of an expansive Civil Society, he would have formed a Charity To Do Good Works and implore his fellow citizens to give voluntarily of their wealth to help. He could go to other businesses asking for donations. While his piece didn’t note it, he could have gone to those companies and tried to get some kind of program going for those really needing help.

But as Belushi used to whine out “But NOOOOOoooo!” Charity?  Something outside of Government?  Nopers (see Mussolini’s thoughts about “The State”).

If he was a believer in entrepreneurship, he and Muscatel should formed an LLC to show up all of his “competitors”. After all, he declared:

While the cost of insulin production has not changed in the past decade, the cost of insulin itself has continued to rise at alarming rates

A PERFECT opportunity to do good AND make a small bit of coin. If he really believes what he wrote, that the cost to make insulin has been static, he should easily be able to set up his own LLC to create a manufacturing line and make his own brand.  Sell it for less than his competitors and do good for those in need. In fact, he could change the whole dynamic as his competitors would have to start matching his pricing – doing even more good for those in need as the pricing for the entire marketplace would go down.

But as Belushi used to whine out “But NOOOOOoooo!”  “Competition”?  Seems to be a dirty word from those encased in Government’s bubble. Startup? Putting his money where his mouth is?  Nopers.

No, the first thought was NOT to do the work himself of competing and providing. His first thought was Government Retribution – “if you aren’t doing what WE believe you should be doing, we will FORCE OUR WILL on you”. If he’s willing to do that to an entire industry, which one will be the next one?  Who else will be in this Statist’s target?

What would he be willing to do if he was Governor?  Perish the thought, given his thoughts above.

The Left is always about everything should be affordable for everyone and has no problem in doing “takings” from others to make it happen. When they see people that are “oppressed”, then everyone else MUST be the Oppressors – and they must punished.

Which Feltes has just made clear is his modus operandi.
