I’m not all that convinced that this is true

Chris Pappas Resist

The Gateway Pundit is owned and run by Jim Hoft.  Haven’t seen him for a few years but he’s a good guy. There are some that like to take shots at GP’s reporting and I do have to admit that it does get a bit over the top on some of its reporting. This, however, I can’t go along with at all:

HERE THEY ARE: The 31 DEMOCRATS in Trump Districts Who Will LOSE THEIR SEAT If They Vote to Impeach Trump in this Nefarious Schiff Sham

And then it goes on to list 31 Democrat CongressTwits that are in districts that Trump won.  And that’s all that is presented at evidence.  Slow news day, I guess.

Here again is the list of the Endangered 31 Dems:

Tom O’Halleran (D-Ariz.)
Lucy McBath’s (D-Ga.)
Lauren Underwood (D-Ill.)
Cheri Bustos (D-Ill.)
Abby Finkenauer (D-Iowa)
Dave Loebsack (D-Iowa)
Cindy Axne’s (D-Iowa)
Jared Golden (D-Maine)
Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.)
Haley Stevens (D-Mich.)
Angie Craig (D-Minn.)
Collin Peterson (D-Minn.)
Susie Lee’s (D-Nev.)
Chris Pappas’s (D-N.H.)
Jefferson Van Drew (D-N.J.)
Andy Kim (D-N.J.)
Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.)
Mikie Sherrill (D-N.J.)
Xochitl Torres Small (D-N.M.)
Max Rose (D-N.Y.)
Sean Patrick Maloney (D-N.Y.)
Antonio Delgado (D-N.Y.)
Anthony Brindisi (D-N.Y.)
Kendra Horn(D-Okla.)
Matt Cartwright (D-Pa.)
Conor Lamb (D-Pa.)
Joe Cunningham (D-S.C.)
Ben McAdams (D-Utah)
Elaine Luria’s (D-Va.)
Abigail Spanberger (D-Va.)
Ron Kind (D-Wis.)

Now, I have no knowledge about other States but this is just plain stupid to declare that Chris Pappas will lose his seat if he votes for Impeachment of Trump. First off, he’s safely in the pocket of Pelosi and will do what she says and most likely gets the support he might need. The biggest thing, however, is that he has NO REPUBLICAN candidate announced to run against him. Zippo, nada, nein.  Not a single person.

He is running unopposed at this point. At this point in time, the operative question is WHY??  Is it a lack of willing candidates, a lack of money, or both? Time is running out for someone ante up and file. Because of this, I’m doubtful of the entire above list – just because Trump won their district means NOTHING unless the candidate has well formed issues, is articulate, has some amount of charisma, and has the financial backing to be credible. Unlike the Democrat side where Prez candidates have scooped up a lot of the good political operatives, there’s a lot of folks to pick up right now.  That said again, not for long as more local State level folks are getting those kinds of folks at good prices due to a lack of competition.

At least two Republicans have signed up in CD-2 to run against Annie “I’m AOC’s BFF!” Kuster: Lynne Blankenbeker and Steve Negron.  Both ran last time in 2018 with Negron winning the Primary but losing to Kuster in the General Election

Negron was invited to undergo our “GrokGauntlet” (aka, editorial boards) and came in earlier this fall. Blankenbeker has also been invited to meet with GraniteGrok writers but has not yet returned my calls or emails (admittedly just after her announcement and I haven’t followed up since the first few attempts).
