Milford, NH – Today, conservative State Senator Gary Daniels announced that he will be seeking the District 11 State Senate seat. Daniels has hired Dan Passen, President of Passen Aggressive Communications and Strategies and former State Chairman of the NH College Republicans, as his campaign consultant.
Daniels will be formally kicking off his campaign on November 14 at the home of Hillsborough GOP Chair Chris Ager in Amherst. Daniels, a former two-term senator and former Chair of Senate Finance, released the following statement regarding his decision:
“Like many of you, I have watched with grave concern as our current Democrat-controlled legislature, including my State Senator, has voted time and time again to strip away the New Hampshire Advantage. They have worked ceaselessly to erode the values we hold so dear here in the Granite State. This is why I am pleased to announce that I am running once again to represent the people of Amherst, Merrimack, Milford, and Wilton. Governor Chris Sununu has done a remarkable job holding back the big-government bills that the Democrats have worked so hard to try and force through, but he cannot keep doing it alone. We came too close to seeing an income tax in New Hampshire this past legislative session – we must not allow the Democrats to further corrupt our economic growth. I look forward to returning to the State Senate and standing by Governor Sununu’s side in protecting the New Hampshire Advantage.”
