Leftists have been ruining urban America for years. And no, it’s not white flight, it’s right flight. Right the hell away from the Democrat’s disastrous taxes and regulations. Oh, and the crime and violence, and while we’re adding to the list, this news from Denver about street poop.
Despite having complained to the police repeatedly, nothing seemed to change and (Jawaid Bazyar the owner of a communications company named FORETHOUGHT.net) grew distraught at the prospect of his employees having to clean up the potentially hazardous waste. The city of Denver responded by issuing him a citation and fining him for not keeping the property clean.
His business abuts an ally that in recent years has attracted drug addicts, prostitutes, homeless, and now street crappers. You’d think the latter might scare off the former, but I guess they all live in ‘harmony’ together. Necessity might be a better word. But that’s not the point of this story.
Bazyar tried to keep the area clean, but it’s not his job nor that of his employees. It’s unsanitary and (if we’re honest) a crap job.
But Denver, which can’t resolve any of the issues leading to the crime, drugs, homelessness and street crapping, disagrees.
The point the owner is trying to make with the city is that he and his employees are neither trained nor equipped to deal with human waste and hypodermic needles, both of which could potentially carry disease. He describes it as a health hazard and blames the city for not enforcing laws against drug use, prostitution, public defecation and camping on the alleys and sidewalks.
The city disagreed and has informed him that he will be facing additional fines and fees as long as he continues to fail to clean up the alleyway.
Can you smell the stench of irony!? The Left, which wakes up every day looking for new ways to deprive you of rights and property (decision making) because it is better equipped to manage, well, everything, has suddenly embraced self-reliance.
It’s not your ally or your people or your anything but deal with his or we will fine you. It’s a s**t job that is the result of years of unchecked liberal meddling. Yet it is now an individual responsibility of private citizens to pick up other people’s poop in Denver.
Not dog poop, you get fined if you don’t pick up your own dog’s poop. But if it’s yours, someone else gets fined for not picking that up.
But wait, there’s more!
If one of his employees gets stuck with a needle (gets a disease, aids, an infection, whatever), or gets mugged, injured, or killed while trying to avoid these fines, the city is not responsible for that either.
Are there choirs of angels or demons singing when you read this? It is, without a doubt, one of the most poignant social real-life dioramas of what it would be like living under one-party Democrat rule.
