Justin Amash thought it would be a good idea to wade in on the Omar-Tlaib-Israel Trump thing, which is not big news in itself. Thousands of people did that. But Amash has been praying to Anti-Trumper gods of late. And the incense may have addled his brain.
And his memory.
Israel should stand up to President Trump and allow our colleagues to visit. Nobody has to agree with their opinions, but it will inevitably harm U.S.-Israel relations if members of Congress are banned from the country. We must find ways to come together; there’s enough division.

I’m sure they have different but asking Israel to ignore the advice of one of their few global supporters (on this topic) isn’t divisive? Let’s ignore that because we have this. RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel jogged Justin’s memory about a few things relating to Justin Amash, Jews, and Israel.
Come together?
398 Rs+Ds came together to condemn a boycott of Israel, you voted present.
424 Rs+Ds came together to condemn anti-Semitism, you voted present.
395 Rs+Ds came together for Iron Dome funding, you voted no.
Spare us the lecture on unity.https://t.co/moznM1c3M4

Ouch.
Yes, I’m sure he had perfectly good reasons for voting the way he did at the time (not voting is voting). But in this context, he’s not the best spokesperson for that particular argument.
Omar and Tlaib are anti-Semites. They favor a boycott of Israel. They oppose Israel’s right to defend itself and rub elbows with people who promote or fund its destruction.
But feel free to continue expression your right to free speech in this manner. Just understand that doing so could result in another Twitter drop-kick to your narrative.
