At Tuesday’s rally for Bill O’Brien, the crowd broke into a chant: “Send her home. Send her home…” The “her” in this case referred to US Senator Jeanne Shaheen (she/her/hers).
As if we didn’t already have enough proof that facts no longer matter to these people, ThinkProgress writer Josh Israel wasted no time in publishing the headline “New Hampshire Republicans embrace racist Trump rally chant.”
The last time I checked, Jean Shaheen is not a “person of color” (a fact that was finally acknowledged in the last paragraph of the article). And sending her “home” would mean bringing her back here to New Hampshire… like, to live amongst the rest of us as a private citizen.
But… RACISM!!!
