As I reported earlier, the exorbitant fee for food trucks in Gilford are now in line with what Government should be charging for anything – just enough to cover costs and not to make a “profit” (not that government can make a “profit” – for them, it’s a surplus). But as I mentioned, I missed Jeannine after the meeting in order to get her reaction. So, this afternoon, I went over to the Lakeport Landing Marina to do a final interview:
BTW, the Cow Island burger was great and if you have little ones, the Mac N Cheese was superb! Reasonable prices, too.
I do wish to point out that what is happening in my town is probably happening in your town. Why? Human nature. Power, even at a small town level, is a corrosive force for far too many. Sure, you may not have the exact same situation, but similar – a “captured government board” by outside interests. All it takes is for nobody to look or to listen to let it happen – or to just shrug your shoulders. Don’t be that person – be THE GUY that says “hey, lots of people have done this – why not me?”. And then go do it – and let us know!
