This:
Senator Jeannie by using the phrase “turn back the clock” after “banned same-sex adoption” makes it sound -and I think is intentionally trying to give the impression- that the President is trying to ban adoptions by same-sex couples.
If you read the article Jeannie linked to you will not find any support for what Jeannie is intimating. Rather, what Trump is considering is allowing religious adoption agencies that do not allow same-sex adoptions to receive federal funding. Axios calls this “allowing discrimination” as opposed to allowing the exercise of one’s religious beliefs, but -to reiterate- there is nothing about banning adoptions by same-sex couples.

To be clear, I have no problem with adoption by same-sex couples. But I also have no problem with federal funding of adoption agencies that don’t allow such adoptions – it is called the free exercise of religion.
What I do have a problem with is the regular stream of LIES we get from Senator Jeannie and the the local “press” NEVER holding Jeannie accountable.
