PBS Kids Cartoon Begins Season with a Same-Sex Marriage

Yes, the longest running closet homosexual in children’s television cartoon history (so far) has come out. Arthur’s Mr. Ratburn is gay. And he just got married.

“Yep. It’s a brand new world,” says Arthur’s friend Francine in the episode entitled “Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone” which can be seen by clicking here.

Indeed it is. And PBS agrees.

PBS KIDS programs are designed to reflect the diversity of communities across the nation. We believe it is important to represent the wide array of adults in the lives of children who look to PBS KIDS every day.

I can’t wait for the episode where Arthur’s Dad announces he’s got a job picking up used needles and human feces after the local Health Inspector closes his in-home catering business for failing to acquire all the appropriate permits.

His mom proudly announces that Arthur won’t have another sister because she’s having an abortion and then getting a divorce.

Francine Frensky’s parents Laverne and Oliver (who dumps his job at the Dump) open a drag queen strip club (and a pot dispensary) in the back of the local library with a grant from the National Science Foundation.

And Buster Baxter overdoses on Fentanyl, drugs he obtained from the MS-13 gang hiding out from the DEA since Elwood declared itself a sanctuary city.

No? Too much diversity?

I know, teaching kids about the sex and gender portion of the liberal culture is fine but that other stuff?
