The Collusion News Network’s (CNN) descent continues. Two years of all-in on Russian collusion fell flat. And the Neilson ratings show the so-called News network falling behind The Hallmark Channel.
“CNN had its lowest-rated week of the year in prime time, while MSNBC had its second lowest-rated week of the year in the 25-54 demo and its third lowest among total viewers in prime time,” reported TVNewser.
Home and Garden, the Food Network, and Hallmark all did significantly better with CNN which tumbled to 15th place well-below several other Cable entertainment options.
From April 8-12, the network only averaged an audience of 690,000 people and 180,000 in the key 25-54 age demographic. Their coverage last week included three presidential town halls with New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee and Former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro.
Yes, Fox News (oops, forgot the trigger warning) is still number one while CNN tumbles. A fall that should be much further along, if we are honest. How many of these eyeballs are people trapped at airports? What do the numbers look like if you remove the default channel settings in bars or terminals with televisions that leave CNN on out of habit or just as a subliminal form of torture?
I bet the ratings are a lot worse.
And no, the release of the Mueller Report will not save them. They will pour over it; milking any word they can find that might serve as a splinter in Trump’s paw. But to quote Peter Strzok, there’s no there-there.
There never was.
Also, a fine description of CNN’s ratings.
