The report
After 24 months and tens of millions of dollars the report is in. What we know is the report does not indict anyone who has not already been arrested. Those arrested to date are faced with charges having nothing to do with Russia collusion. President Trump is clearly not indicted. That does not mean the Democrats in the House of Representatives will not try to impeach him.
But the President is the winner. He is not guilty of collusion with Russia. That does not make him more affable but it does mean he did not lie about what his actions were. If you cannot find the evidence in two years, after spending $50 million dollars on a handpicked, highly partisan team, there just is nothing there. Deal with it.
What does it mean?
The President is exonerated of anything to do with collusion with Russia. That is actually the good news. It means we do not have the Manchurian Candidate as president. How is this story being reported? What would the story have been if the President had been indicted? What was the headline on your paper today? Did it have anything to do with the end of the multi-year witch hunt? What does that tell you about their level of bias?
Seriously, we have had a sitting President under investigation for two years. The charge was that the President of the United States had committed treason, he was guilty of collusion, working for Russia. Our government, our executive branch agencies, found that charge to be credible; credible enough to spend a huge sum to try to convict him. Now it turns out the charges were specious.
What is worse we know that several executive branch agencies conspired to attack a sitting US President. A narrative from a British source was solicited so that they could import it to the United States. It was necessary to go to those lengths to skirt Executive order 1226 which made investigating US citizens and US organizations illegal. The narrative was actually a piece of opposition research paid for by a political party and its candidate for the presidency.
It was leaked to the media. The media ran the story as true when they knew or should have known it was not. The Justice Department and the FBI knowingly took both the false narrative plus the false media reports, which they portrayed as corroboration, to the FISA courts and obtained warrants. The FISA courts clearly did not do sufficient due diligence. The FBI and the Department of Justice were not forthcoming with the court.
Conclusion:
The investigation was a sham. It was an attack on our sovereignty. It is an attack on the rule of law. It was an attack on our institutions of government. These people responsible are dangerous to America’s safety and security. The laws themselves which were bent and broken now lack credibility. The apparatus of enforcement is shown to be corrupt.
The entire legal apparatus that enabled this investigation needs to be dismantled. The persons involved in perpetration of this travesty need to be prosecuted. The time has come to eliminate the secret courts and the apparatus they serve. We need to end all executive branch agencies. They are unaccountable to the American people or to the President. We need to reform their structure and function. The fourth branch of government has outlived its usefulness and has become a clear and present danger. It is time to return to government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
