Collusion News Network (CNN) Pivots to Obstruction News Network – But There’s No “There-There”

CNN Collusion News Network

I would be surprised if CNN did not bring up collusion between Trump and Russia on every one of the 640 plus days of the Mueller investigation. Observations and opinions peddled as news that were wrong every time. So, what is the Collusion News Network to do when there was none?

In the course of theinvestigation,”

“the Special Counsel issued more than 2,800 subpoenas, executed nearly 500 search warrants, obtained more than 230 orders for communication records, issued almost 50 orders authorizing use of pen registers, made 13 requested to foreign governments for evidence, and interviewed approximately 500 witnesses.”

The best the experts at the Collusion News Network could do is cling to the notion that Mueller did not exonerate Trump on the prospect of Obstruction. To put that in its proper context did CNN collude with Russians to impact the outcome of the election? No one is investigating that and despite our inclination to say yes out of spite, we’d be hard-pressed to say conclusively that they did.

Can we make the case that CNN obstructed an investigation into something it did not do?

There’s No There-There

Review that pull-quote again. After 647 days and tens of millions spent by a legal team of lawyers and professional investigators (by all accounts deep-state Trump haters to the last) found no evidence. After “more than 2,800 subpoenas, executed nearly 500 search warrants, obtained more than 230 orders for communication records…”

Rod Rosenstein, who is one of the many players in the intelligence communities targeting of the Trump campaign, writes, along with AG William Barr,

After reviewing the Special Counsel’s final report on these issues; consulting with Department officials, including the Office of Legal Counsel; and applying the principles of federal prosecution that guide our charging decisions, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and I have concluded that the evidence developed during the Special Counsel’s investigation is not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offense.

So, Mr. Trump did not try to prevent an investigation into something he never did. Mueller can’t say either way because he couldn’t leave two-years of lies by almost every media outlet and the entire Democrat party in the lurch.

And that’s not a bad thing.

Democrats have said they will pour millions of man-hours and your dollars into investigating Trump on obstructing something that didn’t happen.

I can’t think of a better metaphor for Democrat Socialism than that. And the Obstruction News Network will happily record every bit of it.
