Having an irrefutable hypothesis has its benefits. Take Global Warming. It causes everything: rising Seas, toenail fungus, ED, and Biblical plagues of insects. A native species of Pine Bettles gone wild started wiping out forests in several Northern American States.
Millions of pine trees were killed, prompting environmentalists and state and federal government agencies to link the invasive beetles to catastrophic-manmade-global-warming-by-carbon dioxide. Science Magazine warned that “Climate Change Sends Beetles Into Overdrive” (Mar. 16, 2012). The U.S. Forest Service launched numerous web pages under a “Bark Beetles and Climate Change in the United States” designation.
As of 2017, the plague has ended. The cause? Five years of extremely harsh winters. Thanks to the irrefutable hypothesis.
Global Warming causes cooling. That’s what they tell us. So, five years of extreme global warming induced cooling killed off the beetles that went wild because of global warming.
Good thing too, or all that money that the government wastes on funding these climate experts would have been for nothing.
That’s sarcasm, by the way.
