NBC Today Show Analyst – VA Gov. Wore Blackface in the 80’s Because “Trump”

Ralph Northam

Need to stretch? Well, try out this logic from the Today Show on NBC. Where ‘analysts’ suggest that an increase in incidents of blackface (two incidents) are Donald Trump’s Fault. Even when those events took place 14-years ago and more than 30-years ago.

Wasn’t that when Trump was a Democrat?

I actually can’t recall if The Donald was ever a registered Democrat but I recall having serious doubts about him being a Republican. He’s laid many of those fears to rest but consider the irony.

MSNBC analysts on NBC’s Today show are blaming Donald Trump for this.

(Newsbusters) Talking to Princeton University Professor Eddie Glaude, a regular pundit for MSNBC, co-host Craig Melvin wondered: “This is the third such incident that’s surfaced over the past, I think, three or four weeks….when did blackface become a thing again? Why does it seem as if blackface is all of a sudden front and center in America again? What’s happening?”

Remember, this is a Princeton Professor. Smart guy, right? Not really.

Glaude replied: “I think it has something to do with what Donald Trump has unleashed. It has something to do with the reservoir that’s underneath our politics that can always be activated at any moment….it’s always underneath. It’s the undertow.”

So, the undertow of Donald Trump’s Presidency has caused politicians from decades past (when Trump may have been a Democrat) to be exposed for blackface incidents.

Yes. I can see where that would be a problem worthy of air time on a national network morning show. It’s right up there with scoops of ice cream and what he feeds visiting athletes. Gripping.
