Sen. Shaheen: The Only “Woman” on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Defending Infanticide

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen is featuring herself as the only woman on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in the Trump era. I found this news cluttering up my inbox this morning. In it, she is promoting a Politico story about how she Fills a Void in Trump’s Foreign Policy. Well, it’s true. She’s the only woman on the committee defending infanticide.

No other ‘Woman’ on that committee is obsessed with the ritual sacrifice of human infants at birth. Just Jeanne.

‘Cuz like Tiggers, she’s the only one! (Not as bouncy or flouncy, I suspect, though I’ve no proof for or against.)

And as the only woman on the “foreign relations” committee with a womb, she must be outraged. Most of the foreigners from the countries with whose relations her committee is tasked, don’t allow ‘On request‘ abortions after 22 weeks. Many limit them to 8, or 10 weeks. And a significant number of nations prohibit on request abortion altogether, and by “significant” I mean about 130 of them.

The rest have varying degrees of tolerance for abortion due to fetal impairment, health, rape or incest, or even mental health but not on-demand.  A pittance of nations treats it like Jeanne Shaheen – abortion anytime for any reason anywhere (and in New Hampshire by anybody). Heck, even Russia limits on request abortions.

Hey, Senator Shaheen. Maybe Mr. Trump is colluding with Comrade Putin to ban abortions in the US before the end of the first trimester. Better look into that.

And how, as the only woman with a womb who defends infanticide, does she cope? And why doesn’t Politico even broach the subject? It seems like the most obvious hook, especially since her Democrat Foreign Relations Co-Committee members Murphy, Kaine, and Merkley look like they could decide to be women any day now.

Abortion Does Come Up once.

Abortion is mentioned in the Politico piece but the reporter never brought it up in the interview.

Hours after I spoke to her, I got a press release from her office—she and Rep. Nita Lowey (D-N.Y.), the chair of the House Appropriations Committee, were reintroducing the Global Health, Empowerment and Rights Act, which would permanently repeal the Global Gag Rule, an executive order banning federal funds for foreign nongovernmental organizations that also use non-U.S. funds to provide abortion or information about abortion.

She pushed it on him, probably because Jeanne Shaheen has accepted insane amounts of money in her political career from Big Abortion. From Planned Parenthood to EMILY’s list. Over a million and change. Maybe more, I stopped looking.

Given that financial investment and her public statements, what is her policy approach to relating with foreign governments “In any era” on the topic of killing babies at birth? She’s a defender of a practice that a super-majority of the world finds abhorrent.

Infanticide. Jeanne Shaheen’s chief ‘American’ export?

And there she is the only woman (with a womb) on a Senate committee tasked with foreign relations. Draping New Hampshire in gory.

Yes, I did spell that last word correctly.
