Mr. Trump and most of America would like a barrier on the southern border to keep people from entering the US illegally. The Berlin Wall was built to keep people trapped in Communist-controlled East Berlin from escaping the glories of socialism. Alexandria Ocasio Cortex opened her mouth on the latter, and it sounds like she got it backward.

“I think it’s like the Berlin Wall. I think it’s like any other wall designed to separate human beings and block out people who are running away from the humanitarian disasters. I just think it’s wrong,” said Cortez.
I’m going to cut her some slack here. East Germany was something of a humanitarian disaster. But only because they implemented AOC’s socialist agenda which always ends the same way. Look at socialist Venezuela. They closed their borders. Leaving is a crime. You need permission to come and to go. And this brings us to what has to be Dramatic irony.
If AOC and the Democrat Socialists (talk about bad bands) ever get what they want politically in America, they’ll need to build a wall on the Southern and Northern border to keep us from trying to leave.
Dear @AOC: Let me serve as your private professor here. The Berlin Wall was meant to keep people inside the socialist/communist utopia and stop them from fleeing to the decadent capitalist west. So as the New Millennial Lenin, you might want to refrain from using this example.
