Politics and the Left – Peace is Not an Option Even When You Surrender (So Fight Back)

Right-vs-Left the politics of no peace

It’s not a lesson we ever needed to hear. But we appreciate (former Sheriff) David A. Clarke making the point. “Politics has become a contact sport. (But)…many GOP political figures avoid contact and seem obsessed with being admired by the left and the editorial boards of the New York Times and CNN, rather than pushing back against the people seeking to destroy them.”

He’s talking about the need for a cohesive movement to counter the power of the fully operational liberal Battlestation. The narrative machine. The ground game. All of it. Yes, we need that.  But politics didn’t just become a contact sport.

Anyone who has spent any amount of time wading around the underbelly knows. The left has always been like this. The division narrative has only arisen because some people on the right, inspired by Mr. Trump, have decided they are tired of taking punches. They have opted to punch back. We’ve been doing that at GraniteGrok for 12 years. Mr. Trump’s election brought the Left’s long-time tactics out of the shadows and into the public eye. They threw us all through the bar window and out into the street.

The media, naturally, describes the act of rhetorical self-defense from the right as they always have. Hate, racism, division, incivility, even unfitting for the person, title or office. That’s all a distraction because of the Fight from the right is to save your rights from the Left and the Right.

The Ruling Class is Not Amused

Like any good tyranny, the political class, the ruling class, portrays any resistance to their dominance as strife. Division. Hate. What Nancy Jacobson of No Labels calls purists engaged in endless tribal warfare. Her answer, as I noted earlier today, is to bend the knee. Reach across an aisle (that only reaches one way). From our side to theirs. That’s how we’ve kept the peace. By being the on the wrong side of the American Political version of an abusive relationship.

Cover it with makeup. Put on some sunglasses. Smile through the pain. Sure, the Left will still get everything they want but this way it will take longer. And we’ll still have civility. Our serfdom is preordained so let’s just walk quietly down the garden path.

F**k that!

That’s what our founders meant. They would not be ruled by a distant tyrant. They wanted the people to rule themselves. A few hundred years later the entire Democrat party, a majority of the “free” press, entertainment, and education are all committed to “rule by a distant tyrant.” That all men are not created equal. Some go to the nation’s capital where they will decide how much of your labor they will spend to advance their priorities.

The fact that Mr. Trump is President tells us that their priorities are not yours. But the Left is better equipped and better funded. The Left’s Cabal is like Great Britain in the Colonial era. The global superpower. You are shoeless colonial soldiers with no uniforms and no pay. But you are not defenseless.

Rhetorical Rock Throwing

Sheriff Clarke agrees.

The left aided by the liberal media has declared war on conservatives. They have declared war on cops, the Constitution, the rule of law, due process, religion, and free speech. To counter this, we need political street fighters, brawlers to help President Trump push back against the swamp, the deep state, never-Trumpers on the right, and the Washington establishment. Currently, Trump has to rely on a group of your grandfather’s Republicans who mistakenly believe that you can compromise with the left or that you can win at political warfare from inside the safe space of a think tank, a TV studio, or from a DC cocktail party.

So, in case you missed it, your “Republican” “leaders” may not have your best interests at heart. Many do. You need to find them, create them, and support them. But don’t wait for them.

And you don’t have to love Mr. Trump. You don’t even have to like him. But you should love the things for which he fights. I’ll sum it up simply. Stop letting the globalist left screw you over. From big government acolytes at every level of our government to the globalist government everywhere else on earth. The Left is or has been screwing you for years. You are their bitch. Peace is not an option even when you surrender. They will never stop,

  • Taking more of your money.
  • Telling you what you can do or say.
  • Holding it all over your head.
  • Calling you names when you disagree.
  • Making an example of you when necessary – and using government force to do that.

There is no enough for the left. Even when your life is in ruin, they will try to take more.

Take the Fight to Them

Mr. Trump isn’t perfect but he is not giving up your fight. You shouldn’t either.  Sherrif Clark suggests that,

“when the left metaphorically throws rocks, the new conservative fighter has to be willing to pick up those rocks and throw them back.”

It is important to return every rhetorical volley. It is more important to send them out first.

One of the things that the Left hates most about Trump is that he takes that fight to them. He launches the first volley. Put’s them on the defensive. He sets a narrative then fights to frame it. It is not always elegant. But it never was. And it is not new. It’s just out in the open now.

So, yes, if you find yourself a target pick up the rhetorical rock, but throw two back. Then throw a few more. And don’t be afraid to ask for help.
