Or wait for it – the Democrat Socialists of America.
Yeah, if I saw a job candidate coming into my firm and I saw that tattoo, s/he would be quickly shown the door. Anyone thinking that they should allow such nonsense (given that the DSA has already said that there should never be a profit (er, without it, who would be able to hire ANYONE?) and that private companies should be taken over by “the workers” (yes, I’m on their email list so I see this anti-American crappola all the time)) deserve what they get – which if they really take power would be destitution and a free stay at the “Re-Education Seaside Resort”. That is, if they weren’t subjected to the communist holocaust alluded to in the title of this post.
So, the San Francisco “steering committee” of the Democrat Socialists of America decided to set themselves apart from everyone with this cute design. No, not as flamboyant as the typical MS-13 gangsters we’ve been seeing in the news that ordinarily would have jobs in a traveling circus as the Tattoo’d Man decades ago – but just as dangerous. Yes, as dangerous. Not physically, at least not at first, but certainly their root ideas are and we only have to see the carnage that “government directed life” wreaks upon a country (g.e., “She who forgets history ends up with Venezuela“).
If you go to the Twitchy link below, you’ll see how scathing the response has been to the point that the original person putting up the pic, “Jenbo” at @irockgnomes, has locked her Twitter account. So, I went to the SF DSA home site and their FB page to see if the tattoos showed up there – nada. Cowards, they are. You did it, you say your believe in the “vision”, yet now you’re ashamed of it? Maybe the first inkling of “perhaps this whole thing, I should rethink it” is starting to creep in – but I doubt it.
But I did find this which pretty much lays it out as pure Anti-Americanism:
Section 1. Vision
DSA SF’s vision is a United States that is liberated from the control and corruption of capitalism in our economy, society, and community. Instead of a political-economic system which benefits an elite few, we envision a social order based on democratic control of resources and production, economic planning, equitable distribution, and social and economic justice for all. We envision San Francisco as an exemplar of these values.
Section 2. Mission
DSA SF’s mission is to organize the people of San Francisco in order to establish and exercise collective power that can fight capitalism, combat inequality, and bring about real socialist change.
Section 3. Objectives
- Build collective power that can stand up to capital.
- Actively organize throughout San Francisco to exhibit solidarity, build stronger communities, and bring about real material change for the people.
- Educate ourselves and the people of San Francisco on socialist critiques of capitalism and advocate for democratic socialist values, vision, and policy.
And there’s more (of course). What does it all come down to?
- There is no such thing as “democratic socialism” – it is pure socialism through and through. Using the word “democratic” is just a PR ploy
- democratic control of resources and production – no private property. History teaches that ALL things are resources to be controlled by them – nothing is beyond their control
- economic planning – so what Government you know of can quickly, effectively, and properly plan to meet all the needs correctly of hundreds of millions of people? Top-down, centralized command economy – that’s what they plan for the rest of us (because if you think they’re going to share that power, you’re dumber than the PR these power greedy cravens are throwing).
- equitable distribution – Equitable by WHO’SE standards? It was always said that the Soviet Union was a first rate military power with a 3rd world country behind it. Frankly, it’s that second clause that should scare anyone that has studied their history. Or talks with someone who had to live through it east of the Iron Curtain. Or, has spent a month roaming in Venezueala right now.
When it all boils down, it comes to this – they hate who is in charge now. They will replace them and then be in charge themselves. For all their rhetoric “for the people”, that’s what it comes down to – changing one set of leaders for other “leaders”. Freedom will have no place in this land (again, from their own history).
Back to the tattoos – given what I know, I’d perp walk that candidate right out the door myself. I have no reason, nor should anyone else, to let the swine of Animal Farm coming strolling through my door and become that 5th column after I’ve put my family at risk, the enormous amount of time and effort, and the money in trying to build a business just to see it taken away.
