In the wake of any reported “hate crime,” it is important to remember that the majority of these have an annoying habit of turning out to be self-inflicted, often in a desperate effort to get attention. College campuses don’t hold a monopoly on this behavior, but they do tend to produce a majority of them.
A flier at a Kansas State University apartment complex bearing the very racist statement “Beware [N-words] Live Here!!! Knock at Your Own Risk” has turned out to be a hoax.

This incident fell apart rather quickly when police questioned to supposed victim.
In a statement on its Facebook page, the Kansas State Police Department wrote “Upon questioning, the person who reported the incident admitted to creating and posting the note to their own door. The matter will be addressed in accordance with applicable disciplinary procedures.
They don’t always end that well. The University of Missouri (Mizzou) went full snowflake after someone reported a poop swastika in a bathroom that no one took a picture of or recorded in any manner. That didn’t stop the campus from melting down so severely that years after budget cuts due to dropping enrollment cost actual people actual jobs.
Oberlin and Evergreen (Even New Hampshire.s own Keene State College) have been plagued by the crazy when the boy (girl, or whatever) cries hate crimes; or just overreactions to the idea of them. They lead to high-profile cable news coverage followed by dropping enrollment, budget cuts, and job losses.
It couldn’t keep happing to people more deserving of such justice. Social Justice if you prefer.
The modern college campus culture is no less destructive to itself than any feature film where scientists or experts meddling with this or that (often working with or for the government) are overcome by the folly of their hubris or just some unforeseen mutation.
The social-justice snowflake is no mistake, but the culture created to nurture them is self-destructive by design.
And they never learn. The immediate response is that the event is proof of something that always results in more social justice, more snowflakes, and more fake hate crimes.
Note: “Two-minutes [FAKE] hate” may become a regular feature…maybe.
