Quick Thought – So Schumer talks with the dead?

Schumer referenced inaction on gun control in his exhortation, saying, “[Those people] who were killed and are now in heaven, they would say, ‘do something.’ They wouldn’t say, ‘Let’ wait.’”

1) Talking with dead people is a wee bit creepy, isn’t it?

2) Obama is famous for establishing red lines and then ignoring them. Schumer just walked over a societal redline, but just like with Harvey Weinstein’s sexual harassments of the “casting couch” kind, the Left won’t care because DEMOCRAT!

Oh wait, he’s a Democrat; everything and everyone is fair game to be politicized to further an agenda (in this case, civilian disarmament). We have over 270 Federal laws that already regulate guns – and hundreds, if not thousands at State, country, and local levels that only affect law abiding citizens.  This Las Vegas murderer didn’t violate any of them before he broke the windows of his suite and then didn’t care a whit at all about any of them once he decided to break them by murdering 59 innocent souls.

Other than either putting a cop every 10 feet or confiscating all guns (between 320 and 600 million, estimated), what can a new gun law do?

That’s right – nothing.  It is simply self-important windbags (and those with feeble spines following the crowd to keep their seats) wanting to be seen as “doing something” even if that something does nothing at all.  It’s all PR – the worst kind of legislating.
