Reporters asked why, after Republicans held dozens of nearly-unanimous votes to repeal ObamaCare under President Obama, they were getting cold feet now that they control the levers of power.
“Sometimes you’re playing Fantasy Football and sometimes you’re in the real game,” he admitted. “We knew the President [Obama – Skip], if we could get a repeal bill to his desk, it would almost certainly be vetoed. This time we knew if it got to the President’s [Trump – Skip] desk it would be signed.”

Eventually, the truth comes out – and this bill showed they . Many of us wondered why so much was put into the previous 30-50 Repeal efforts when nothing was going to happen due to a veto. What is most egregious, and I read the bill several times plus the amendments, is how little the AHCA actually would have accomplished – but how much sturm und drang the GOP Leadership made of it.
And how much arm twisting was done to show “Unitedness”. Sorry, passing a sham of a bad bill is worse than killing it. Y’all set the expectations over the last 7 years – YOU failed to live up to it. Shame on you.
