Tag teaming on Steve’s post breaking the news on the ‘Grok that US Intelligence operatives in “incidental” (read that like “mis-spoke” is really outright lying)
House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes did not rule out Senior Obama administration officials being involved in “incidental” communications of President Donald Trump’s transition team that were “widely disseminated.”
When asked by Breitbart News if he could rule out any involvement of senior members of the Obama administration, Nunes replied, “No, we cannot.”
Don’t be surprised by the “surprised” look on my face. Given all of the chatter about “The Resistance” and Obama re-lighting his Organizing for America, it is believable. Around the Right Blogosphere, there is a lot of chatter about former Obama political appointees “burrowing in” to the career civil service system – but wanting to keep Obama’s legacy going by slowing down and impeding Trump’s agenda by a variety of means. One of them, of course, is leaking harmful info about Trump’s people. The bad thing about this is that these folks are “unmasking” Trump’s folks which is a felony.
Why am I not surprised? During their eight years, they showed us the willingness to “politically weaponize” the Federal Government: certainly the IRS and DOJ but also the Interior, DoD, Foggy Bottom, well, pretty much everything. So why not this?
