“If everyone is Hitler, then nobody is”

From The Mark Steyn Show, here’s a SteynPost that starts with Mark’s famous observation on the left’s standard slur – that, when everybody’s Hitler, nobody’s Hitler. By way of illustration, he examines a particularly feeble charge against a Trump counselor.

One of my favorite lines is from the animated film of a few years ago, The Incredibles.  The little boy is blessed with supersonic running speed but told he can’t use it but he’s still special.  His retort (a great slam against the self-esteem education movement) was “if everyone is special, then no one is special”.

Most adults haven’t learned that lesson – especially those that call everyone “special”
