Hey N.O.W.? Did you just have an Oopsies boycott moment?

NOWThis is just great!  I saw this earlier that the National Organization for Nags Women decided that Wegmans (a grocery store chain) had to be taught a lesson because (horrors!) they gave consumers choices when it came to wines – including Trump Wine (reformatted emphasis mine):

Wegmans grocery stores in Virginia selling Trump Winery products became the site of the latest anti-Trump boycotts this week — but the protest seems to have only bolstered the wines’ sales. According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, five different wines have sold out at two Wegmans in the Richmond area. And in the other eight grocery stores across the state, the wines have either sold out entirely or almost sold out.

…The Prince William County’s National Organization for Women chapter called for a boycott of the popular grocery store chain because it sold a variety of Trump Winery wines in its Virginia stores. “Certainly if Wegmans is carrying Trump wines, I personally will not shop there,” National Organization for Women President Terry O’Neill said.

Ah, where do you live, again?

In response to the protests, Natale said the grocery store’s “role as a retailer is to offer choice to our customers.” “Individual shoppers who feel strongly about an issue can demonstrate their convictions by refusing to buy a product,” she said. “When enough people do the same, and sales of a product drop precipitously, we stop selling that product in favor of one that’s in greater demand.”

Yet, since news of the boycott broke, Natale told the Richmond Times-Dispatch that sales of the Trump Winery products at Wegmans have soared — selling out of bottles on the shelves in back-up inventory.

President Donald Trump bought the Charlottesville, Virginia winery at a foreclosure auction in 2011 — long before he ran for office. As president, Trump has promised to distance himself from his many businesses.

I think he’s tripled the buying price – and all that the N.O.W. Nags have done, other than to proof yet again they are more left-wing than for women, has given Trump a lot of free publicity and a lot more profits.

Trump if you strike me down
