“Gun rights
Repealing the licensing requirement to carry a concealed gun has a strong change of passing the Legislature. Unlike Hassan, Sununu is likely to sign it.
New Hampshire has some of the nation’s weakest gun laws. It also sees less gun crime than most other states.”
That would be Kathleen Ronayne in a piece in the Concord Monitor, Right to work, education reform top GOP priorities in N.H., listing some topics on which the upcoming legislature will be concentrating. In that one line, she brings up the cognitive dissonance that most Progressives (including Ronayne) see here in NH – “It also sees less gun crime than most other states.” Sacre bleu – how can this be? How can individuals behave properly WITHOUT the steady Hand of government at the helm of everyone’s lives?
That should have been written as:
“New Hampshire has some of the least intrusive gun laws. It also sees less gun crime than most of state because of our culture and law abiding citizens.
Second Amendment and Article 2-A – boy, she must have had to really grit her teeth in writing that second line so I am betting that she threw that first one in just because GUNS! No barrier between Government and making it harder for us to own and bear arms – Progressives are all about flipping the relationship between we the citizens and the government we supposedly own. Instead of govt answerable to us, they are just dandy with making us answerable to it. They, and writings like this, will be the ultimate end of our self-government experiment.
That may be the point – Government granting Rights to us as it pleases. Which also means taking them away as it pleases.
How’s that worked out historically, eh?
