Press Standards – depend on the who and what

This perfectly shows the “Who”standard – one standard for a Progressive and a “not” Progressive.  Guess who gets the preferential treatment, the softball questions, and who gets the grinding “faux outrage” ones (and gender doesn’t count – until they decide that it does (re: all that rubbish talk about glass ceilings)).

The What? That’s “tradition” and it could be restated at “Who gets the pass on What?”; the image says it all.  In fact, the non-traditional candidate, Trump, campaigned as such, and the traditional Press (pretty much all Lefties) expect him to “change his spots” just because: WE’RE THE PRESS!

Yes, they do and have a place and role to do.  It is clear, especially watching the Sunday Shows last week and this week, that they are starting to get back to throwing fastballs again.

Fair enough – that’s what they should be doing! It just shouldn’t be based on the Party of the person getting the questions.  Frankly, all the opprobrium that the Trump campaign / transition staff / White House staff has / is / will be throwing back.

Standards are meant to be a single standard and not just one that varies over the circumstances.  But you and I know the WHY of why this is.
