Indeed so.
It isn’t too much of a simplification to say that those who trust state officials to ‘regulate’ do not understand how enormously complex social reality is, while those who oppose such legislation and regulation do understand that reality is so complex as to defy social engineering of any sort.
Simplified, “planners” exhibit two Progressive “tells”:
- We know better than you do what is best for you
- You don’t need that (or need otherwise)
Can you get any more condescending than that? Why is it not ever considered to just let us decide for ourselves? Sure, there are times that I may not know what I want but if *I* don’t, how can a planner “know” when I don’t?
