Shame? A meaningless word for Hillary Clinton

One of Donald Trump’s most pointed attacks against Hillary Clinton came during the second presidential debate when he suggested that Clinton should be ashamed of herself for denigrating those women who accused Bill Clinton of sexual misconduct. Later he added that she should be ashamed of her gross mishandling of classified government documents.

With a smug smile, Clinton calmly pivoted the debate to other topics. To many, her reaction only confirmed what they have known for years. The word “shame” means nothing to Hillary Clinton.

Donald Trump could not have

expected anything more from a former Secretary of State who sat through the assassination of her Ambassador to Libya and three diplomats, repeatedly lied about it to the public and to the victims’ families, and now expects to be rewarded with the presidency.

She is the public servant who acquired enormous wealth by melding her so-called charitable foundation with her powerful position in the State Department.

And yes, she’s the same public servant who wantonly jeopardized our national security with her clandestine and illegal communication system, set up in her home so she could bypass public scrutiny and legitimate congressional oversight. She’s the same one who later destroyed the tell-tale evidence, repeatedly lied about that, and now demands to know what the FBI has on her.

She’s the same politician who categorized half of her political opponents as deplorable and unredeemable, but has the audacity to claim that we are all “stronger together.”

This is the radical feminist who embraces partial-birth abortion and Planned Parenthood, the organization that harvests baby parts.

She is the globalist who promises to flood the country with hundreds of thousands of refugees and countless illegal aliens during her tenure, all to benefit her political party and expand her voting base. It means nothing to her that they cannot be properly screened. And while she professes to be a champion of women’s rights, she ignores the potential impact of mass immigration from societies that treat women as property and legitimate targets of sexual assault – immigrants like the ones who are causing havoc throughout Europe, like those responsible for the molestation of more than 1000 women during the 2016 New Year’s eve celebration in Cologne, Germany, or the hoards who have transformed once benign, crime-free Sweden into the rape capital of the West. Clinton’s dream of an America without borders is a direct threat, not only to the women’s rights movement, but also to the security our nation. Her deceptive pretext of compassion to reach her goal is breathtakingly shameful.

There was a time, not that long ago, when politicians could be shamed out of office. It happened with Richard Nixon, and with Gary Hart, both involved in far less significant scandals.

But the Clintons are a different breed. It’s not resilience, nor tenacity, nor inner strength that keeps them going – it’s utter shamelessness. They can’t be shamed, because they’re liberated from anything resembling a conscience – that moral compass that tells the rest of us right from wrong.

And each time they thwart our criminal justice system, they become more audacious. Now, emboldened by the blind support of her constituents, Hillary Clinton pursues her selfish goals, completely unencumbered by those rules the rest of us try to follow. It’s a perspective shared by her minions. To protect her, they lie, destroy evidence, and even feed her questions in advance to help her win those presidential debates.

And what about her constituents? Most justifiably mistrust her, yet still plan to vote for her. Some are thrilled by the prospect of the first woman President. Others are counting on the personal benefits she promises, like free college. Some point to her qualifications, interpreting her foreign policy blunders as “experience.” Still others simply hate her opponent.

Hillary Clinton has been an integral part of the policies that have brought us where we are today. The election of this shameless, dishonest politician to the most powerful position in the world will only accelerate our decline. But more tragically, that occurrence would also reveal a sad evolution of the American voter. It would reveal an electorate that has become hopelessly apathetic and gullible, or worse yet, one that shares Clinton’s vision for America and her distorted perspective on ethics.

In just a few days we’ll know if Clinton’s supporters can do what she can never do. We’ll know if they can make a decision – perhaps the most crucial decision of their lifetime – based on conscience and nothing else.
