Rep.-Elect Carol Shea-Porter had a liberal voting record during two earlier terms but retained a good working relationship with GOP leaders.

“I’ve always been proud of the fact that my Republican colleagues have said I am their favorite Democrat to travel with. The reason is that I don’t make it personal; we can disagree on policy but for the good of the country get things done,” Shea-Porter said during a recent interview.

Chaser: Umm, but she does make it personal.

After all, back in 2008 she told a Republican woman, a member of one of NH’s “main Republican families”, to her face that “You are not my constituent” because of her party affiliation (even though she lived in Carol SEIU-Porter’s district).
