Emphasis mine. Well, if you look at the history of this past year and the importance that the Democrats put on “sexual rights” of tiny little sub-identity groups at the expense of everyone else. When you pay so much attention and bluster so much about it, of course the rest of us voters got the impression that the Democrats cared more for 4% of the population (e.g., homosexuals and transgenders) than they did for the Heartlanders.
