US Attorney General Loretta Lynch may have well just said “It depends on what your definition of ‘is’ is”

by

Attorney General Loretta Lynch said Friday that she has every intention of accepting an FBI recommendation to indict Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email system while she served as secretary of state, if that’s the recommendation that is presented to her by the FBI.

“I fully expect to accept their recommendations,” she said Friday in a public interview. “I will be accepting their recommendations.”

tipping the scalesWith the rumors that Lynch has been offered the opportunity to stay on as US AG under a Hillary Administration, it think my view is looking more and more correct, as in:

  • “I will accept that folder containing your recommendation”
  • “I accept (hear) your recommendation”

In either case it doesn’t mean she will legally file charges against Hillary.  Look, I can accept anything but it doesn’t mean that I either agree with it or will act on it.  Put it this way – if you or I had done what Hillary has done, we’d already be in a Government sponsored resort hotel whose windows and doors have steel in them and the food won’t quite be up to Gordon Ramsey’s standards.

Yeah, I’d bet that this will be yet another case of one version of The Rule of Law for the politically connected (a la Meet The Press’s former anchor David Gregory waving an illegal (in DC) 30 round magazine in the DC based studio – and no charges filed) and The Rule of Law for the rest of us.

That used to be called Tyranny and makes a mockery of one of our Pillars of American Jurisprudence that we are ALL equal before the Law.  Instead, we’re getting Animal Farm.
