WASHINGTON, D.C., May 18, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – The same day last week the Obama Administration threatened the nation’s public schools with the loss of federal funding lest they comply with its rendering of gender theory, the White House dropped an even worse threat on healthcare institutions accepting government dollars.
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) published the final rule for Obamacare’s Section 1557 last Friday, requiring healthcare providers receiving federal funds to perform “gender transition” services and abortions, or face termination of government aid, along with possible referral to the Department of Justice for legal action.
The Federal government could make this sort of declaration about anything related to your body, and don’t say we did not warn you.
That means that if you think this is OK, you are an idiot. The same sweeping mandates you applaud now (or are simply not interested in) will increase as costs rise and other people’s money runs out. That means wait times for visits, procedures, and a declining list of things that are covered less by the insurance and more out of your pocket.
While we should be offended by this sort of ideological overreach and the grave insult to state sovereignty the threat reaches into every corner of your life, of your families lives.
The only escape is to stop state and local government who trip over themselves every time the government offers them a bucket of money. It’s not free. It never was. It never will be.
Anyone who has ever said otherwise is dangerous and needs to be removed from public service as quickly as the next election, if not sooner before they sell more of you, your family, and your property, to the Feds for another “free” handout. And while the free money can end any time the mandates that went with it almost never go away.
