There Are No Stop Signs Between Hate Speech Laws and Totalitarianism

Well of course it is – the First Amendment talks only about speech and makes no difference between so-called hate speech and political speech. Yet, our feckless political class, both the crassest and stupidest in history, fail to learn what our Founders knew – that when speech is suppressed, it is meant to control those that dissent. It is meant to not just control your actual speech but to limit your thoughts behind your speech. And that is the absolute opposite of freedom.
