I used to do that….

WHEN I WAS IN LAW SCHOOL, WE DROVE TO FREEPORT ONE NIGHT AND HAD OUR PICTURE TAKEN IN FRONT OF THE CANOES AT 3 AM: The Never-Ending Greatness of L.L. Bean’s Boots.

LL Bean logoTMEW and I, at least BK (Before Kids) used to just look at each other on a Friday nite and go “drive” and do the same thing – head to Freeport.  When we lived in MA and were the youth leaders of the high school group, we used to invite a few of them to go with us.  Dunno where Da BlogFaddah was driving from but from northern MA, it was still a few hours to get up there.  And it was always open.

Still drive up occasionally, TMEW and I, for a few items and clothes shopping, even with an LL Bean Outlet shop much closer.  Having done a lot of backpacking in the past, it is always fun to see the “shiny new objects” – although I don’t go out anymore. But the geek always wants to see the latest gadgets.
