Another Leftist Moron believes has a claim on others because HUMAN RIGHT!

“The resolution does not expect students to pay for these services as I, and those who voted for it, believe that health is a right not a privilege,”

A classic case of two wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for supper.  Sheesh, it just gets more and more impossible to believe that our educational system is functional at all.  The basis of education is the ability to take facts, string them along in a coherent way such that critical thinking can produce an intelligent conversation.  I like listening to reasoned intelligent people discussing complex issues.

Aanchal Chugh is not such a person.

She is the prime sponsor of UC Berkeley Senate resolution 69 that would provide free abortions on campus because WOMEN! I’m not going to quote the looney connect-the-dots they used as high thinking, but be calmed that as silly as you might think a SJW can get, it is worse.  However, here is the wind up for the most egregious part:

“I believe the University should reorganize funds from the administration’s paychecks to university health services. Many of the administrators at UC Berkeley receive more than generous paychecks while they continue to put student health on the backburner,” Chugh said. “This resolution is demanding that the university reconsider and reprioritize its funding. Instead of investing money into the administration’s paychecks, the university should be investing in students’ health and safety needs.”

On the surface, I tend to agree with this.  Overhead (and ALL Administration is overhead / indirect labor and highly paid) contributes nothing to actual teaching.  Instead, provost this and vice-chair that and more vice-presidents than corn farms have stalks have tremendous bloated payrolls and facilities build outs rivaling expensive spas seem to be the norm on college campuses have put money into the wrong interstitial spaces of higher learning – and it always seems to be when the Left ensconses itself somewhere.  Administration paychecks are outstripping even the rise in tuition (which has FAR outstripped inflation in regular society).  Retrenching in this area would be a good thing given all the attention on unaffordable college costs.

Campus Reform reached out to Chancellor Nicholas Dirks and Provost Claude Steele to see if either would be willing to take a pay cut in order to fund abortions but neither replied in time for publication. This story will be updated if a response is received.

Whether administrators are willing to take a pay cut or not, Chugh says she does not think students should have to contribute funds for these on-campus abortions in any way.

And here is the first disconnect – who really pays.  I went to her FB page and it is just one set of economic gibberish chasing one PC / SJW issue after another, all based on one thing: victimhood.  It should be easy to see where this goes:

“The resolution does not expect students to pay for these services as I, and those who voted for it, believe that health is a right not a privilege,” she added. “The university should be providing this right to all students.”

And this is the most scary part – the complete turning upside down of the idea of a Right.  It is actually a regressive one and one over which a war was fought at the beginning of our country.  A Right, a true Right, is one that accrues to you for simply being born human – no human, no government can give you a Right.  It is yours simply for being you.  The example that is easiest to understand is that of Free Speech – I have the Right to speech.  And no, no Government GIVES me that right – it is an innate one and one that the Bill of Right actively restricts the power of Government to restrict my exercise of it.

At the same time, I can make no claim on anyone else in order to exercise it.  I cannot demand you stop and read this.  I cannot demand that you spend your time in listening simply because I want someone to pay attention to what I say.  I have the Right to speak – I do not have the Right to be heard.

Here, Chugh turns that upside down.  She (and most Progressives) believe that healthcare is a Right.  Problem is, unlike my speaking (which is free), her faux right to healthcare is not – healthcare is expensive – medications, supplies, and most of all, human expertise to deliver healthcare.  Chugh believes that she should not have to pay for hers but can simply demand and expect someone else pay it for her.

In short, she makes up a new Right – the ability to make a claim on someone else’s time and talent to service her needs.  For free.  We used to call that slavery – forcing someone to work against their will to provide a benefit for themselves.  This is what America was founded for and on?

But that’s only one part; bad enough but not the worse.  In making part two, Chugh blithely throws away 200 odd years of sacrifice, history, and governmental philosophy and turns things upside down – and reaching back to pre-Revolutionary times.

“The university should be providing this right to all students.”

Stupid college nitwit snowflake – but more and more this pernicious notion is gaining traction because the Left captured the cultural rampart of Education.

As I said earlier, a Right is that which is innate and internal – it is self-provided.  Here, we see “entitlement” turned into a Right.  One that is 1) claimable on another and 2) a Right which is defined by another as to what that Right should be.  In short, a Right is bestowed by others (which is to say, no Right at all).  Demanded by one but provided by someone else.

This micro-brained self-assured incompetent who can’t reason out to a logical ending (or recognize her own philosophical illegitimacy) denies her own self-Rightness and now makes a Right something that someone else grants – you could use our Founders as a gyroscope they are spinning so fast in their graves over that.

Something that another entity has to provide as a Right can provide it – or not.  And when a Right is withdrawn, is it really a Right?  She obviously thinks so – until it hits this slack-jawed low information coed in the face that she has sold out her birthright of Rights.  She obviously hasn’t thought it through:

when someone /something provides what it believes you should have as Rights, you are no longer a citizen.

You have made yourself a subject.  You have told us what you really are and what your price is.  What is worse is that you think so little of others that you deliberately ensnare others in this pernicious abuse of your citizenship.
